Accused shooter in North Richland Hills domestic violence arrested by Fort Worth police

A Dallas man accused in a domestic-violence shooting in North Richland Hills was in custody on Wednesday, authorities said.

Brandon Donte Washington, 36, was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Fort Worth police..

Washington faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was in the Tarrant County Jail in Fort Worth on Wednesday with bond set at $500,000.

According to a search warrant, Washington’s girlfriend told police he shot her in the face Sept. 19 in the 8500 block of Harwood Road in North Richland Hills when she was walking her dog.

The woman was able to run away and call 911. She later underwent surgery to remove bullet fragments from her head, according to the warrant.
