Fort Worth police arrest two teenage suspects in separate homicides

Fort Worth police arrested a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old Friday as suspects in two separate homicides, according to police records.

Alan Gerardo, 17, is accused in the killing of 18-year-old Angel Jesus Salinas earlier this month. Under Texas law, he will be charged as an adult.

Salinas was found dead in a car near Eastover Park the morning of Sept. 7. He died from gunshot wounds to the head, and his death was ruled a homicide according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office website. Police have not released information about a possible motive.

William Redmon, 18, is accused in the killing of a man at an apartment complex on Western Center Boulevard in far north Fort Worth.

The victim, whose name hasn’t been released by authorities, was killed Sept. 15 at a gathering in an apartment when someone pulled out a handgun and fired at least once, police have said. No other injuries were reported from that incident.
