Man critically injured when his brother shot him near south Fort Worth Walmart, police say

A man is in critical condition after a south Fort Worth shooting Thursday afternoon, a MedStar spokesperson said.

The shooting occurred just before noon outside a Rosa’s Cafe restaurant at 3450 Sycamore School Road and continued near a Walmart at 7451 McCart Ave., police said.

“The victim was shot at several times near the corner of (the Rosa’s Cafe) property,” police said. “The victim then ran toward the Walmart, where several more shots were fired at him.”

Police believe the victim is the suspect’s brother.

The shooter, identified as Brandon Desdunes, 28, was taken into custody without incident. Desdunes was booked on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
