Man shot to death in south Fort Worth, authorities say

A 58-year-old man was shot to death on Monday night in south Fort Worth, police said.

The victim, who the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified as Kevin Kennard of Fort Worth, was fired upon about 8:45 p.m. in the 1300 block of Savage Drive, near Oak Grove Road, Fort Worth police said. He was pronounced dead at a hospital on Monday night from a gunshot wound to his chest.

Police did not announce an arrest in the killing or release other information about it.

Between Monday night and early Tuesday morning, Fort Worth police investigated six other shots-fired calls. Three people were injured in those shootings, according to police.
