Man seriously injured in shooting in northwest Fort Worth, police say

A man was shot and seriously injured Thursday in northwest Fort Worth, authorities said.

The victim, who is 34, was fired on about 10:30 a.m. in the 2000 block of East Long Avenue, according to Fort Worth police. He was taken to a hospital with injuries that a MedStar spokesman said were not life-threatening.

The victim and assailant appeared to be driving in separate vehicles before the victim stopped, got out of his vehicle and was shot multiple times, the police spokesperson said.

Police did not report an arrest.
