Passenger train hits, kills man in Fort Worth, authorities say; investigation underway

A man was struck and killed by a passenger train on Wednesday in south Fort Worth, authorities said.

The man was hit about 3:15 p.m. in the 2300 block of Cunningham Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene, a MedStar spokesman said. No other injures were reported to police.

An investigation of how the person came to be on the train’s tracks was incomplete, a police spokesman said.
