Neighbor arrested on murder charge in weekend shooting death of Fort Worth man
A 54-year-old Fort Worth man was booked into jail Monday and accused of shooting his neighbor to death over the weekend, according to a police report and jail records.
Edward James Murray was arrested about 3 p.m. Monday and booked into the Fort Worth Jail just over an hour later, according to jail records. He faces charges of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to police records.
The man killed in the shooting has been identified as Antonio Edward Robinson, according to Fort Worth police and officials with the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Patrol officers were dispatched to the shooting call Sunday night in the 3800 block of Waldorf Street, in southeast Fort Worth.
When they arrived about 7:30 p.m., police found Robinson, 39, with gunshot wounds to his chest. Robinson was found lying outside of his home, according to the police report.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:16 p.m. Sunday, according to the medical examiner’s website.
Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death.
Fort Worth police have not commented on a motive for the slaying.
