Man robbed, shot in Fort Worth where he was to meet with blind date, police say

A man scheduled to meet a blind date was shot and robbed Thursday night in a Fort Worth neighborhood, according to Fort Worth police reports.

The 23-year-old North Richland Hills man was shot in the leg and was taken to a local hospital. His condition was not available Friday, but he suffered non-life-threatening injuries, Fort Worth police said.

Fort Worth police on Friday continued their search for three suspects.

The shooting and robbery occurred about 11 p.m. Thursday in the 9100 block of Saddlehorn Drive.

The North Richland Hills man arrived at the location, where he was confronted by three men who robbed and shot him, Fort Worth police said.

No information was released on the date who the victim was scheduled to meet.

The robbers took the man’s credit cards, his driver’s license and about $150, according to a police incident report.
