Fort Worth man shot woman dead in domestic killing in Louisiana hotel room, police say

A 24-year-old Fort Worth man shot a woman to death early Saturday inside a hotel room in Bossier City, Louisiana, police said.

Garrett Benson killed the victim about 2:15 a.m. at the Margaritaville hotel, Bossier City police said.

Police did not release the victim’s name or age. Benson was in a domestic relationship with the victim. Police did not describe the precise relationship.

Police arrested Benson on a second-degree murder charge. His bond was set at $500,000.
