18-year-old murder suspect arrested, accused in Fort Worth hotel room killing of teen
An 18-year-old was in custody Friday and accused of being involved in a robbery that led to the shooting death of a Justin teen, according to Fort Worth police and jail records.
Map Elijah Bieng, 18, of Fort Worth, was arrested without incident Thursday morning by members of Fort Worth police/U.S. Marshals task force during a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Ave. H.
Bieng was booked into the Fort Worth Jail on Thursday morning, according to jail records.
The Fort Worth teen faces a charge of capital murder in the shooting death of Paul Ramirez, 19, of Justin.
Fort Worth police responded to a robbery call shortly after 3 p.m. on Aug. 11 at the Magnuson Hotel in the 6700 block of Fossil Bluff Drive.
A man reported a holdup had occurred in a hotel room, Fort Worth police said.
When they arrived, officers entered a hotel room and found an unresponsive man lying on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. That man was later identified as Paul Ramirez.
Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fort Worth police have not released any other details on the shooting such as how many people were in the room at the time of the shooting or how many suspects are involved in the case.
Bieng was in the Tarrant County Jail on Friday in lieu of $750,000 bond.
