Woman reports she was abducted in suburban Fort Worth, says men were waiting for her
A 23-year-old woman told authorities that she was abducted early Monday in Forest Hill by men who were waiting for her when she got into her vehicle.
The first account of the crime to the police came about 2:45 a.m. from relatives of the victim who had been in touch with her.
The exact location of the abduction is under investigation, Forest Hill police said.
The victim was in periodic contact with relatives who connected their calls to Forest Hill police investigators.
Detectives were zeroing in on the woman’s location when she called police and said she she drove away from her abductors in her vehicle and that they were following her. Detectives directed the victim to a location where she was met by Weatherford police.
The victim was on Tuesday being treated at a hospital.
Police had not announced arrests in the case. This investigation is active, police said.
