Fort Worth police asking public for help to solve January murder
Fort Worth police are asking the public for help solving a murder from January that has yet to result in an arrest.
Darius Marable, 31, died late on Jan. 28 after he was shot, police said in a news release shared to social media. Multiple people had forced their way into his home in the 3900 block of Griggs Court about 10 p.m., according to the release, and he suffered gunshot wounds.
He was shot multiple times in the upper body, police said.
In January, police reported someone had fired into the home. The victim’s sister, Teneisha Marable, told the Star-Telegram her brother called her that night to tell her he had been shot.
A family member took Darius Marable to the hospital, stopping at a gas station to ask for help along the way, Star-Telegram media partner WFAA-TV reported back in January.
He died in the hospital.
Police haven’t announced a motive for the shooting.
Anyone with information on the homicide is asked to call 817-392-4327, police said. People can stay anonymous.
