Three arrested after drive-by shooting reported in south Fort Worth, police say

A Fort Worth residence was struck by gunfire during a drive-by shooting Tuesday morning, police said.

Police responded to the shooting at about 3:15 a.m. in the 7200 block of Avington Way in south Fort Worth, a police spokesperson said. The house’s garage was shot up and so was a vehicle. It is unclear if the car that was damaged was inside the garage.

No injuries were reported.

Officers found and arrested three suspects in a black 2015 Nissan Altima that crashed near the scene of the shooting. They arrested 18-year-old Keavion Douglas, 17-year-old Kedrien Offord and 18-year-old Mark Reed.

Both Douglas and Offord were charged with evading arrest and three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said. Reed was charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and had out-of-town warrants.

Douglas also has a charge of causing an accident with damage.

The case remains under investigation.
