Passenger killed during street racing crash on Fort Worth freeway, police say
One person died during a rollover crash as two cars street raced on a Fort Worth freeway, Fort Worth police said.
At 3:17 a.m. Sunday, police were called to a major accident at 3308 East Loop on 820 South Freeway. Witnesses said two cars were racing on the freeway when one of the cars lost control and flipped over.
The driver of the second car did not stop and kept driving southbound. The driver of the wrecked car got out of the car and ran away before police got there, police said.
The passenger of the crashed car died. The driver has not been identified, police said.
