Man shot at Fort Worth car wash with woman and baby in car; police searching for shooter

A man was hospitalized after he was shot at an east Fort Worth car wash while a woman and baby were in the car with him, Fort Worth police said.

The man, who is in his 20s, was in a parked SUV at a self-service car wash at 1709 McClellan Court at about 10:25 p.m. Saturday, police said. A man wearing a ski-mask and armed with a gun walked up to the car.

The man in the mask shot multiple rounds into the passenger side window, police said. Those in the SUV tried to drive away, but crashed into a silver sedan at the intersection of Meadowbrook Drive and Sandy Lane.

The woman and baby were not hurt, police said. The driver of the sedan was also not injured.

The man was taken in critical condition to a local hospital. The shooter had not been arrested as of Sunday, police said.
