Man shot to death in Arlington early Thursday, authorities say; no arrest announced

A man was shot dead early Thursday in Arlington, police said.

The victim was slain about 6:30 a.m. in the 600 block of Carter Drive, Arlington police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The assailant left the scene in a vehicle, police said witnesses told them.

Police had not announced an arrest late Thursday.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office had not released the victim’s name or age.
