Fort Worth driver accused of running stop sign faces manslaughter charge in death

A 22-year-old Fort Worth woman faces a manslaughter charge in the April traffic death of a teen, according to Fort Worth police and jail records.

Jakyra Adams was booked into the Fort Worth Jail on Tuesday afternoon on a charge of manslaughter.

Adams is accused of speeding and running a stop sign, then crashing into another vehicle on April 18. The wreck killed Gabriellie Wiggins, 19, of Fort Worth, who was a passenger in the vehicle that was hit, authorities said.

Wiggins died at the accident scene from blunt-force injuries in the crash, according to a ruling by officials at the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Police responded to the major crash on the afternoon of April 18 at Frazier Avenue and West Waggoman Street..
