Man killed in shooting at south Fort Worth apartment complex, police say
A man was killed in a shooting at an apartment complex in south Fort Worth early Friday morning, police said.
Officers reportedly found the man, whose identity wasn’t released, inside of a stolen vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No suspects have been arrested as of Friday morning.
Units responded to the 2400 block of Alnez Avenue around 2:40 a.m. Friday, police said. The caller indicated a young man had been shooting at an unknown person, according to a police call log.
Police determined the actual crime scene was nearby in the parking lot of the Campus Apartments, the department said.
More than 15 units responded to the apartments throughout the morning, according to the call log.
Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting, police said.
A police spokesperson didn’t provide any other details of the shooting Friday morning.
