Dallas authorities release photograph of gunman in Galleria mall food court shooting

Dallas police released on Wednesday a photograph of a gunman accused of shooting another young man at the Dallas Galleria Mall food court on Tuesday night.

The photo is an image from a mall surveillance camera.

The victim, in his late teens or early 20s, was shot Tuesday in the food court by an assailant he knows, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital. His condition was not available, Dallas police said.

The victim was shot about 6:45 p.m. at the Galleria Mall at 13350 Dallas Parkway. An officer was working off-duty at the mall and reported the shooting.

The assailant is about the same age as the person he shot, police said. He left the mall, and police were still searching for him Wednesday.

The mall was locked down and employees and customers evacuated Tuesday night.

Anyone with information on the shooting should call Dallas police at 214-671-3625 or contact Det. Ryan Cordova at ryan.cordova@dallascityhall.com
