Woman shoots brother with handgun inside Fort Worth home, police say
A woman shot her brother with a handgun inside of a home in north Fort Worth on Monday night, injuring him, police said.
The man was taken to a hospital in unknown condition. His sister fled the scene, police said.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the home in the 3600 block of North Elm Street around 10:20 p.m. Monday, police said. An investigation revealed the man had been shot inside the residence by his sister.
It’s unknown what the woman’s motivation was or what happened leading up to the shooting.
Police notified a family violence detective to look into the incident.
Officers are trying to determine more details of the shooting, the department said.
