3 lose home in Fort Worth fire, but crews were able to save the family’s pet

Firefighters saved a dog from a house fire in Fort Worth Monday, although three people were displaced when the home was destroyed, the Fort Worth Fire Department said.

Fort Worth fire crews went to the house in the 4900 block of Bradford Court twice on Monday; once at 4 p.m. and again at about 8 p.m. when the fire restarted.

One person was home when the house caught fire the first time, according to the Fort Worth Fire Department. The person made it out of the house, and firefighters rescued a small, white dog from inside.

Three people lived in the house.

Ten crews and several support staff responded to the fire, which was under control by around 9:45 p.m. Monday, the fire department said in a tweet. No firefighters were injured.
