Gang unit investigating after man shot through ankle in east Fort Worth, police say

A man was shot in the ankle by an unknown individual in east Fort Worth on Thursday night, police said.

No suspects in the case had been identified as of Friday morning. The department’s gang unit is investigating the shooting, police said.

Officers responded around 9:45 p.m. Thursday to a shooting call in the 4200 block of Littlejohn Avenue, police said. They found a man who had been shot through the ankle and had him transported to a hospital to be treated for his injuries.

He was listed in stable condition, police said.

The department didn’t describe details of the shooting such as what led to it.
