Boy, 14, shot in Fort Worth, driven to a hospital in private vehicle, authorities say

A 14-year-old boy was shot Friday in the leg in Fort Worth and driven to the hospital in a private vehicle, authorities said.

The boy was shot at an undetermined address on East Lancaster Avenue, Fort Worth police said. His injury was not life-threatening, police said.

The victim arrived at a hospital about 4 p.m.

An assailant had not been arrested Friday night. Police gang section detectives were investigating.
