Man shot in Dallas-area parking lot in what police say was murder
A search was on Wednesday for a suspect who gunned down a man in an Irving parking lot and then fled the scene, authorities said.
The name of the victim had not been released.
The shooting occurred about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 4100 block of Pleasant Run Road in Irving.
Irving patrol officers responded to a shots-fired call at the location.
Once they arrived, Irving police found a man on the ground in the parking lot. He was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas where he was pronounced dead.
The motive for the murder is unknown, Irving police said Wednesday.
