Search continues for ‘armed, dangerous’ suspect in slaying of teen in Fort Worth area
Investigators in Parker County continued their search Monday for a homicide suspect who gunned down a 19-year-old Friday evening in Poolville.
Authorities with the Parker County Sheriff’s Office believe the suspect or suspects are armed and dangerous.
The victim has been identified as Tommy Scott Talley of Poolville, according to officials with the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office. He died from gunshot wounds to his chest and arm.
Talley was pronounced dead at his Poolville home after being shot by the gunman. Poolville is about 40 miles northwest of Fort Worth.
Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said Monday the victim was at his home in the 9700 block of Texas Highway 199 on Friday evening when he briefly left his home and met an unidentified person on the street.
The victim was shot as he stood on the street, but he ran back to his home, where collapsed at the doorway, Fowler said.
Family members and friends found the victim and attempted to revive him by performing CPR until paramedics arrived. The teen died at the scene.
