Man shot several times in Keller is stable, police say; shooter hasn’t been arrested
A 33-year-old man shot a 38-year-old man several times on Thursday night in Keller, police said.
The man who was injured is in stable condition in a hospital, the department said in a news release. The shooter, who has been cooperating with detectives, hasn’t been placed under arrest.
There was plausible self-defense, according to police Capt. Chad Allen. There’s “still a lot left to this investigation,” he said.
Police didn’t describe the relationship between the two men other than that they know each other.
Officers responded around 11 p.m. Thursday to a shots-fired call in the 400 block of Charles Street, police said. They found a 38-year-old man with several gunshot wounds who was conscious, and officers spoke with him before he was transported to a hospital.
The 33-year-old shooter stayed on-scene and spoke with detectives, police said.
There were several witnesses to the shooting who are also cooperating with police. The witnesses and those involved with the shooting are all known to each other, police said.
No arrests have been made and no charges have been filed, police said.
