Fort Worth teens charged with failing to report murder, tampering in shotgun slaying
Two Fort Worth teens have been charged as accomplices in a March shotgun blast killing of a Forest Hill man who was found in a parking lot, according to jail and court records.
A third teen, a 17-year-old from Fort Worth, is accused of murder in the shooting death of the 21-year-old man on March 25, according to jail records and police.
Stanley Charles Jackson III, 21, of Forest Hill, died from the shotgun blast, but police have not released a motive for the slaying.
On Wednesday, Jonathan Coffey, 18, of Fort Worth, was booked into jail and later posted $1,500 bond. He was charged Friday with failure to report a felony.
Isaiah Martin, 17, of Fort Worth, was arrested on Thursday and he was charged on Friday with tampering with evidence. He was out on $5,000 bond.
Earlier this month, Nathaniel Fountain of Fort Worth was booked into jail on a murder charge, according to jail records.
Jackson was found dead by Fort Worth police officers in a parking lot in the 1000 block of Eagle Ridge Drive on March 25 after they were dispatched to a shots-fired call.
He died from a shotgun wound to his face, according to a ruling by officials at the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Fountain was in the Tarrant County Jail on Monday in lieu of $75,000 bond on the murder charge. He also was being held on a criminal trespassing charge and the bond is $600.
