Man driving in Fort Worth fatally shot after someone open fires on car on I-30, police say

A man was fatally shot while he and his girlfriend were driving on I-30 Sunday morning, police said.

Police responded to the 3800 block of Linklea Drive to assist the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office with a homicide at 4:55 a.m. Police discovered the shooting happened at West Freeway Service Road near Linkcrest Drive, Fort Worth police officer Bradley Perez said.

The man’s girlfriend was driving to their house when an unknown car pulled up beside them and someone shot out of the car, hitting the man in the passenger seat.

The woman was taken to a hospital with injuries from the glass debris, but was in stable condition.

No suspects had been arrested as of Sunday afternoon.
