Fort Worth-area police looking for man accused of groping teen girl in broad daylight

The North Richland Hills Police Department is asking the public for help to identify a man suspected of assaulting a teenager and running away.

A little after 3 p.m. on Feb. 10, a man who appeared to be in his 20s allegedly approached a juvenile girl on Susan Lee Lane, near Jean Ann Drive, police said in a Facebook post. He allegedly asked the teen for a hug and, when she told him no, groped her buttocks before fleeing the scene.

He was last seen running west on the North Electric Trail from Susan Lee Lane, police said.

The suspect has been described as a white man with a lazy left eye, scruffy facial hair, and sandy-colored hair on his head that’s longer on the top. He was last seen wearing a green jacket and black skinny jeans or joggers, police said.

The department said on Facebook that detectives have been investigating leads and collecting evidence but need the public’s help to find the man.

Police shared a Ring doorbell video showing a young-looking man who’s reportedly a person of interest detectives hope to identify or speak to regarding the incident. He can be seen walking quickly along a city sidewalk.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the video or has information on the alleged assault is encouraged to call the police criminal investigations division at 817-427-7030.
