2 wounded after gunman opened fire on several vehicles in Fort Worth parking lot

Two people suffered gunshot wounds late Sunday when a gunman opened fire on multiple vehicles in the parking lot of a store on Las Vegas Trail, police said.

A man was critically wounded in the shooting, while a woman was listed in serious condition, authorities said.

The shooting occurred about 11 p.m. Sunday in the 2800 block of Las Vegas Trail.

Officers determined a disturbance erupted with gunfire in a parking lot. The man who was wounded remained at the scene. The woman drove away, but she stopped at a Shell gas station at Bryant Irvin Road and Interstate 30 and called 911.

A motive for the shooting was unknown, but gang detectives are investigating, police said..

Several cars also were hit by gunfire in the shooting, police said.
