Man dies after being shot multiple times in Arlington homicide, police say
A Louisiana man was shot and killed Monday night during what Arlington police called a “high-risk activity.”
The victim was identified as Yago S. Fountain, 43, of Tallulah, Louisiana, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office website on Tuesday. A ruling on his death is pending.
But Arlington police said it appeared that Fountain suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Arlington patrol officers responded to a shooting in progress at about 10 p.m. Monday in the 2500 block of Sunflower Drive in Arlington.
When they arrived, Arlington police found a man dead at the scene. That man was later identified as Yago S. Fountain.
Detectives are conducting interviews, but no arrests had been made as of Tuesday.
Arlington police did not provide any other details on a motive for the shooting or the “high-risk activity” they say the victim was involved in.
