Video shows gunman in pink hooded jacket shoot Dallas security guard; search underway

Dallas police appealed for help on Friday to identify a gunman who fired multiple times at a security guard last weekend.

Dallas detectives released a surveillance video of the shooting in hope that someone would recognize the suspect and contact authorities.

After shooting the guard, the man rode away on a bicycle.

The guard, who was standing outside of a store when he was shot, remained in stable condition at a local hospital.

The video showed the gunman — who was dressed in a pink hooded jacket with a backpack — just walked up to the guard, Max King, pulled out a handgun and opened fire.

The shooting occurred about 10:30 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Little World Convenience Store in the 4600 block of Malcolm X Boulevard in Dallas.

King was in a full security uniform when he was shot.

The suspect is believed to be about 35 to 40 years old, according to WFAA-TV.
