Man shoots himself after firing on victim at Fort Worth apartments, authorities say

A man shot another person and himself Wednesday evening at an east Fort Worth apartment complex, authorities said.

The victim was shot about 7 p.m. in the 6500 block of Melwood Street, at the Trinity Heights complex, police said.

The victim and suspect, whose names and ages authorities had not released Wednesday night, were taken in critical condition to a hospital, a MedStar spokesman said.

Police did not release a motive.
