Man shoots other man in knee during altercation in Fort Worth, police say

An Illinois man was struck by a train and died Thursday night when his vehicle rolled onto train tracks in Macoupin County. Officials say his foot became stuck on the gas pedal causing the vehicle to stall on the tracks.

One man shot another man during an altercation Saturday in Fort Worth, police said.

At about 1:30 p.m., police went to the 2800 block of East Vickery Blvd. in response to a shooting report.

Two men got into an fight, and one shot the other in the knee, Officer Ivan Gomez said. The victim went to the hospital with an injury that was not life-threatening.

The suspect had not been arrested as of Saturday afternoon, Gomez said.
