Assailant shoots 2 men with small-caliber pistol at Fort Worth motel, authorities say
Two men were shot Wednesday night at a south Fort Worth motel, police said.
A woman called police about 7 p.m. and reported that her husband had been shot at the Dalworth Inn in the 800 block of East Felix Street, police said.
One of the victims was in serious condition but had injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, a MedStar spokesman said. The other victim had a minor injury.
The assailant fired a small-caliber pistol, possibly striking one of the victims in the abdomen, police said.
The second victim was shot in the hand as he left his room, police said. He was treated at the scene.
The shooter left the motel, possibly on foot, and he was not in custody Wednesday night. Police did not release a suspect description or a motive.
A 40-year-old man was shot to death in a room at the motel on Oct. 11, police have said.
Randel Johnson of Tennessee Colony was slain. William Love, 42, of Forest Hill was charged with capital murder in the October shooting.
