Suspects sought in home invasion shooting in Fort Worth

A man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after he was shot in his east Fort Worth home on Wednesday afternoon.

Fort Worth police were sent to Chaparral Apartment Homes in the 6500 block of Red Sierra Drive — near East Loop 820 and Interstate 30 — just before 1:30 p.m.

Officer Buddy Calzada said the suspects knocked on the man’s door and then forced their way inside when the man answered.

He was shot once.

The suspects are two men in their 20s. Police are still searching for them.
