Fort Worth police investigated two shootings on South Hulen Monday
The Fort Worth Police Department investigated two shootings that happened within a couple miles of each other on South Hulen Monday.
Just after 8 p.m., a 23-year-old man was injured in a possible shootout at an apartment complex at 7424 S. Hulen St.
Witnesses told police that the man was brought to the apartment complex by a friend to pick up some items, Officer Buddy Calzada said.
He was walking in the apartment area when he was chased by an unknown group of people, witnesses told police.
There was a possible exchange of gunfire and the man was shot several times by the other group of men, Calzada said.
The man was taken to Texas Health Harris Hospital near downtown in unknown condition.
About six hours earlier, officers were at Copperfield Apartments, 6051 S. Hulen St., to investigate a shooting.
A man was shot twice in the leg after answering his door at around 2 p.m., Calzada said.
The injured man did not know the suspect, Calzada said. He was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made in either shooting.
