North Texas man accused of sexually assaulting toddler he was babysitting
A north Texas man was arrested after police say he sexually assaulted a 3-year-old child he was babysitting.
Police announced the arrest over Twitter.
“While you were sleeping,” the department wrote. “James Delavega, a 40-year-old resident of Plano, was arrested for committing sexual acts on a three-year-old child he was babysitting in Anna.”
Delavega, who jail records say is 50, was arrested on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child. He’s held at the Collin County Jail. No bond amount is listed.
Police say that other children were present in the home, on Pagoda Drive, when the alleged assault occurred.
