A general manager of an Arlington-based business has been charged in federal court with wire fraud for allegedly embezzling more than $200,000 from the business that owns CSI Calendaring, which rubberizes fabric used in machinery belts.

Jerffrey Chleo Brown was hired by the company in August 2012 and given a company credit card. The company that owns CSI Calendaring is WCCO Belting Inc., in North Dakota. An employee there was tipped off after noticing inconsistencies in Brown’s credit card reports.

Brown would allegedly disguise the nature of the charges to make them appear to be legitimate business expenses, court documents say.

Those charges include $1,369 for Dallas Stars tickets used for a family outing, $456 spent at Kroger on a single day and a $500 Carnival Cruise ticket.

In total, Brown is accused of stealing $255,736 from WCCO, court documents say.
