Sketch released of man who followed woman home, killed her
A sketch of the man who Dallas police say followed a woman into her apartment and killed her on Friday has been released.
The suspect is described as a white man, 6’0 to 6’2” tall with a skinny build and wavy hair. He wore a white and red shirt with a black design.
Police were called to the Churchill on the Parks Apartments, 7601 Churchill Way, just before 8 p.m. regarding a disturbance. They found two women inside an apartment with stab wounds.
One woman — later identified as Lin Wang — was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Detectives interviewed several people in the area and determined that the woman who died went outside to walk her dog and was followed back to her apartment by a man who wasn’t known to her.
On Monday, University of Texas at Dallas President Richard C. Benson said Wang was a 2018 graduate of the university.
“UT Dallas students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends form a strong and connected family, and to hear of such a horrible tragedy is difficult for us,” he said. “During this time, I know we all extend our sympathies and concerns for the families, friends and colleagues of the victims.”
