Mardi Gras in Bedford

Bust out the beads and grab some cash, the 6th annual Mardi Gras Casino and Gala is Saturday at the Bedford Public Library, 2424 Forest Ridge Drive. The fundraiser for the library foundation begins with dinner (catered by Rusted Truck BBQ) at 6:30 p.m. followed by a (legal) casino, music by Ken Nelson and live and silent auctions. Tickets are $50 per person and $95 per couple and can be purchased at the library. Information: 817-952-2350.

Trout fishing in Hurst

Hurst’s Chisholm Trail Pond is the place to be this winter as the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department continues to stock the fishing hole with trout. The pond was stocked in January and will get another load of fish later this month. Information: Neighborhood Fishin’, at www.neighborhoodfishin.org.

Reduced golf fees in Euless

Texas Star Golf Course in Euless, with its lightning fast greens and sand traps filled with white, crushed quartz, is considered one of the best public courses in the state. Euless residents have a chance to play the course for $25 — including greens fee, cart, GPS and driving range — after noon on Feb. 22 and March 8. Information: 817-785-7888.
