Hurst library is the place to be for ‘Pokemon Go’ fans
Pokemon Go fever is running hot in Hurst.
A series of events are scheduled at Hurst Public Library for the rest of August that continue Friday and again on Aug. 18.
On Friday, there will be lures popping up at Pokestops all day and a special Pokemon movie (with free popcorn) at 2 p.m.

On Aug. 18, there will be a special Pokemon program for kids and teens, featuring interactive displays and scavenger hunts.
The library is at 901 Precinct Line Road.
Popular pianist plays at Old Bedford School on Saturday
Old Bedford School will turn into a concert venue Saturday.
“An Evening with Danny Wright” is scheduled for 8 p.m. (with a wine and hors d’oeurves reception at 7:30 p.m.) at the school, 2400 School Lane in Bedford.
Wright is a world-renowned pianist and composer and has been called “The Healer of Hearts” because of his uplifting music.
He is a Texas-based artist and his albums are regularly among the most popular in the adult contemporary category of Amazon’s top 100 hot sellers, according to a news release from the city.

Euless Family Life Center has open house on Friday
Exercising indoors has its advantages, especially when it’s 100-plus degrees outside.
With that in mind, Euless Family Life Center is having an open house Friday to show off its digs.
Those attending will receive a free day to pass to try out the facility, which includes a fitness center, gymnasium, walking track, natatorium and senior center.
The center is at 300 W. Midway Drive.
