Grapevine appoints members to boards
The City Council at its July 19 regular meeting name various appointments to the city boards and commissions.
All were approved unanimously.
Mayor William D. Tate made chairman appointments to the Convention and Visitors Bureau Board, Grapevine Heritage Foundation, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and Senior Citizens Advisory Board.
Appointments included:
- 4B Economic Development Board: Cory Halliburton, Kirby Kercheval and Dave Simon.
- Animal Shelter Advisory Committee: Municipal Officer, Joy Mayor.
- Board of Zoning Adjustment: George Dalton, Deborah Holt, Ken White and John Sheppard. Also they changed Tracy Dierolf to a regular member.
- Building of Board of Appears: Matt Carnes, Clint Hallman and Joe Lipscomb.
- Convention and Visitors Bureau Board: Cynthia Blankenship, Jim Quinn, Mark Terpening and Joe Szymaszek. Debi Meek was named an alternate. Szymaszek was appointed chairman.
- Golf Advisory Board: Louis Capone and Tom Kormonday.
- Health Officer: Dr. Andrew Kilgus.
- Heritage Foundation Advisory Board: Becky Hummer, Janet Perkins, Curtis Ratliff, Melva Stanfield and Balla Wright. Ratliff was appointed chairman.
- Historic Preservation Commission: Ashley Anderson, Margaret Telford, Chuck Voelker and Ted Ware. Jeffrey Eric Gililand was named an alternate.
- Housing Authority Board: Bonnie McHugh and Karen Rice.
- Library Board: Susan Peabody, Bruce Rider and Fred Sheffler.
- Parks and Recreation Board: Roy Roberts, Place 1; Ray Harris, Place 2; Christian Ross, Place 8; and Dave Buhr, Place 9. Harris was appointed chairman.
- Planning and Zoning Commission: Monica Hotelling, Beth Tiggelaar. Alternates are Theresa Mason and Robert Rainwater.
- Senior Citizens Advisory Board: Kay Blanding, Richard Guckel, Rhonda Madsen and Holley Meister. Guckel was appointed chairman.
