City, school board election filings begin Jan. 28
Area city and school district May 9 election filings began today and close at 5 p.m. Feb. 27.
Colleyville
There are two seats up for election, council member Place 5, currently occupied by Tom Hart and council member Place 6, held by Mayor Pro Tem Mike Taylor.
Candidate packet information is available at the city website, www.colleyville.com.
Grapevine
Candidate information packets are available the city secretary’s page of the city’s website at grapevinetexas.gov.
Positions on the ballot will be for mayor, currently held by William D. Tate; Council Place 1, currently held by Mayor Pro Tem C. Shane Wilbanks; and Place 2, currently held by Councilwoman Sharron Spencer.
A resolution calling the election will be presented during the Feb. 3 City Council meeting.
Southlake
Both the mayor’s seat held by John Terrell and City Council Place 2 held by Carolyn Morris are up for election.

Carroll School District
Carroll’s School Board of Trustees Place 4 and Place 5 seats are up for election.
Read Ballew currently holds the Place 4 seat and on the Place 5 seat is Erin Shoupp.

Grapevine Colleyville School District
The Grapevine Colleyville school district board of trustee election, for the purpose of electing a trustee for Place 1 and Place 2, will be held on May 9. The filings dates are the same as for area cities.
Positions will be for Place 1, currently held by Kimberley Davis, vice president; and Place 2, currently held by Becky St. John, secretary.
