It was a day of battling bots as Southlake Carroll hosted the Skyrise VEX Robotics Competition.

About 30 teams from North Texas Schools competed at a robotics challenge at Carroll High School on Saturday. The teams, which included ones from Carroll Senior High and Keller High Robotics, were composed of middle and high school students.

Teams were tasked with building and controlling robots to make towers in the daylong tournament. The robots were made using the VEX Robotics Design System.
