The Little Elm woman whose body was found Sunday in a wooded area in unincorporated Denton County was strangled, the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office reported Thursday.

Anjanette Harris, 40, was strangled with a ligature, or some kind of cord, and her death was ruled a homicide, the medical examiner ruled.

Her body was found about 70 feet west of the 3600 block of Shorewood Drive near Little Elm, which is on the shore of Lewisville Lake and about 53 miles northeast of Fort Worth.

Daniel Edward Greco, 34, was arrested Monday and remained in the Denton County Jail on Thursday with bail set at $250,000. He faces a capital murder charge.
