Last week students at Dawson Middle School started enjoying a makeover of the library.

Several months ago, Dawson won the 2105 Flip this Class/School contest sponsored by bkm – Total Office of Texas, a furniture manufacturer for schools and businesses. The prize makeover for the library lounge areas was valued at more than $40,000.

The remodeled space features colorful chairs and ergonomically designed desks, whiteboard tables and a computer projection system.

A panel of business professionals chose the winner from among 35 video entries. Last year’s winner was Steele Accelerated High School in the Northwest school district.
