Incumbents in Colleyville, Grapevine and Southlake gear up for May 7 election
City Council incumbents have wasted no time filing for re-election in Southlake and Colleyville, Grapevine.
Election day is May 7 with early voting starting on April 25. Candidates have until Feb. 19 to file for a City Council seat. All the council seats are non-paid volunteer positions.
Southlake
So far, Chad Patton, the vice president of a financial advisory firm, is the lone newcomer to any of the races. The 43-year-old filed for Place 3 in Southlake.
Seeking re-election to Place 4 is Incumbent Randy Williamson, 47, a sales manager.
Incumbent John Huffman, 32, an operations manager and attorney, will run again for Place 5.
Colleyville
For the mayor’s race, incumbent David Kelly, a financial adviser, is seeking a fifth term as mayor.
Incumbent Carol Wollin, a retired assistant professor of nursing and community volunteer, is running again for Place 1.
Place 2 Incumbent Chuck Mogged, a retired mechanical engineer, will seek re-election to that spot.
Grapevine
Incumbent Mike Lease, a 62-year-old commercial builder, is running to keep his seat at Place 3.
Running for re-election to the Place 4 seat is Incumbent Darlene Freed, 62, who works in commercial real estate.
