Grapevine announces winners of 2015 Holiday Decorating Contest

Grapevine, which bills itself as the Christmas Capital of Texas, has announced the winners of its annual Historic Main Street and Historic Township Holiday Decorating Contest.

Judging occurs in two classifications: Historic Main Street businesses and Historic Township residences.

The annual contest is judged in the categories of Christmas design, lighting, theme and color. Historic Main Street winners received an award certificate to display in their business and Historic Township winners received a yard sign.

Winners for the Historic Main Street businesses are: first place, Good Things for All Seasons, 334 S. Main St., Chuck and Sally Bultmann; second place, Bermuda Gold and Silver, 404 S. Main St., Debi Meek; and third place, Main Street Beauty Boutique, 103 W. Worth St., Emily Sowa.

The 2015 winners for the Historic Township residences are: first place, Mark Powers residence, 808 E. Texas St., D. E. Box Addition Historic District; second place: Richard and Julie Payne residence, 900 E. Worth St., D. E. Box Addition Historic District; and third place, Israel and Laura Solis residence, 613 E. Worth St., College Heights Addition.
