Towns offer post-Christmas tree recycling

The Christmas holiday has come and gone, and local towns are offering residents a chance to recycle their Christmas trees.

Keller

Christmas Tree Recycling Program: 6:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. daily through Jan. 9. 265 Golden Triangle Blvd., on the north end of the Multi-Use Arena parking lot.

No flocked tress are allowed, and all decorations must be removed from the trees. Free mulch will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at a later date. For more information, call 817-743-4000.

Trophy Club

Trophy Club residents can drop off Christmas trees Dec. 26-Jan. 8 at Harmony Park.

Drop-off area is marked at the end of Indian Creek inside Harmony Park. Ornaments, stands and lights, must be removed. No artificial trees are accepted, but metallic icicles are OK.

Haslet

Republic Services/Allied Waste will pick up residents’ discarded Christmas trees curbside on trash day, according to Shyanne Tibbs of the city of Haslet.

Colleyville

The City of Colleyville does not offer a Christmas tree recycling program. Residents can put their trees on the curb on scheduled pick-up days.

Grapevine

Live Christmas trees (free of flocking, tinsel and/or lights) placed at your curbside will picked up for recycling on Jan. 7 and Jan. 21.

Southlake

Residents can drop off trees through Jan. 9 at Bicentennial Park, 450 W. Southlake Blvd. Free mulch will be available Jan. 12-23 at the park.
